Smiles On Bank Missed Appointment Policy
Here at Smiles on Bank, we consider any appointment that you have made with us important. Your appointment is for your exclusive use and when it is cancelled at short notice, or missed altogether, it is often impossible to offer the time to someone else. Missing an appointment means that someone else in need did not have an opportunity to receive our help. When appropriate, we collect missed appointment fees.
Please refer to the following guidelines below to learn more about our Missed Appointment Policy:
· It is your responsibility to provide us with a working telephone number and/or email address to allow us to communicate important information and provide reminders of scheduled appointments.
· Each missed appointment will be flagged. Patients that accumulate three missed appointments may be dismissed from the practice.
· A fee between $50 and $100 may be charged at the clinic’s discretion. This fee is determined based on the length of time of your scheduled appointment. Please note that this fee will not be billed to your insurance.
· Any cancellation made with less than 24 business-day hours before the scheduled appointment is considered a missed appointment and subject to the above terms.
· If you arrive late to your appointment and the remaining time in your appointment does not allow us to complete your scheduled treatment, this will be considered a missed appointment. Please remember that communication with our clinic is critical to providing you with quality dental care.
· We understand that circumstances occur that do not allow you to keep your scheduled appointment. If this is the case, please call and discuss this matter with our clinic staff as soon as possible. We will waive the cancellation fee for a variety of valid reasons if you do not have a history of missing appointments.
Your understanding and cooperation with this policy is appreciated, as it serves to improve access to timely dental care for all patients. If you have any questions regarding our policy, please let one of our staff members know and we’ll be happy to clarify them for you.
We make every effort to make certain that you are seen promptly at your appointment time. However, due to patient emergencies or other unexpected incidents, our schedule may occasionally fall behind. If this is the case, we will let you know the status of our schedule as soon as possible.
